Rivers EdgeThe core of our endeavor are two vineyards, Elkton Vineyard and Black Oak Vineyard, which are situated on moderate hill sides a couple of miles south of the winery. The vineyards were planted in 1972 and are among the oldest in Oregon. Production is without irrigation, and the grapes are selectively harvested by hand. Our winemaking technique emphasizes a low-tech, hand-made approach, with small-batch fermentation, exclusively barrel aging, and preservation of the unique character of our vineyards through single vineyard bottlings. The winery, which overlooks the pristine Umpqua River in the charming river town of Elkton, welcomes visitors for tours and free tastings. Varieties:
