Educational Port Seminar at Abacela

This special Educational Port Seminar is hosted by Abacela CEO: Greg Jones.

Greg has spent significant time in Portugal studying Port and fortified wine production, working closely with producers and immersing himself in the traditions, techniques, and regional styles that define these wines. In this seminar, he will share that firsthand experience while guiding you through the history, craftsmanship, and tasting of Port wines.

This guided experience will explore the origins of Port, its classic styles, and how thoughtful winemaking shapes these rich, layered wines. Along the way, we’ll taste and discuss several examples, offering insight into structure, balance, and aging potential. Whether you’re a longtime Port lover or just beginning to explore fortified wines, this seminar offers a welcoming and informative deep dive.

This guided experience will last approximately 90 minutes and is limited to 16 guests, allowing for in-depth discussion and tasting. There will be two sessions available, beginning at 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm, so you can choose the time that best fits your day.
