Wine Tasting Events all Thanksgiving Weekend Long 2025

Formerly known as “Thanksgiving Open House Weekend” in the Umpqua Valley, we are re-naming our annual event “Winesgiving” to place more emphasis on gathering your friends and loved ones to share a bottle of wine.

Wineries in the Umpqua Valley will be open all weekend: Friday, November 28 – Sunday, November 30.  No tickets or passes required–each winery will be hosting their own tastings.  Just show up, bring friends, and have a great time!

Plan a Thanksgiving weekend trip to the Umpqua Valley to explore new wineries and discover hidden gems, or for locals… create a tour of your favorite local wineries to share with friends and family.  (Plus, you’ll be supporting local businesses!)

Friday – Saturday: Indulge in a very special Holiday tasting flight for only $25, or enhance your tasting experience with a custom curated Thanksgiving-inspired food & wine pairing for $40. For an added delight, enjoy our dessert flight at an additional $10.  Abacela Wine Club Members and their guests (up to 4) will receive complimentary Holiday tasting flights and only pay for additional food pairings.  Seating is limited, and reservations are strongly encouraged – reserve your place now to experience the warmth, flavors, and elegance of the season with us.

Friday, November 28th: Over a dozen wines will be poured, we will offer barrel tours, we will have new releases and DEEP case discounts of UCC wines. We will also be hosting guest wineries.
Saturday, November 29th: In addition to wine, but we will also be hosting our 3rd Annual Pet Portrait Day from 1 – 5 pm.  Guests will be able to get a quality portrait of their pet with a festive holiday backdrop.  This $10 donation benefits Aviva Health’s program “The Dogtor is In”, including a festive photo & complimentary wine tasting.

Whitetail Ridge Vineyard
