Trella Vineyards
About the Winery
At Trella Vineyards, family, community, and craftsmanship come together to celebrate the beauty of Oregon’s Umpqua Valley. Established in 2011 by Stephen and Susan Williams, Trella began with seven acres of hand-planted vines at the base of the Callahan Mountains. From the very beginning, sustainable practices have guided the vineyard, ensuring balance in both the land and the wines.
Trella first rose to acclaim under the guidance of winemaker Terry Brandborg, whose expertise brought multiple Platinum and Gold awards and the distinction of Great Northwest Wine’s 2020 Oregon Winery to Watch. In 2024, Trella entered a new chapter as Chris Graves stepped in as winemaker. With deep winemaking experience and a fresh vision, Chris carries forward Trella’s legacy while adding new energy to the craft.
The vineyard yields a diverse range of wines, from elegant Pinot Noir and vibrant Grüner Veltliner to bold Tempranillo and refreshing Pinot Gris. Each bottle is an expression of place, thoughtfully crafted to be approachable, expressive, and memorable.
Guests are invited to experience Trella in the heart of downtown Roseburg. Housed in a beautifully restored 1908 building, the tasting room blends historic charm with a welcoming, wine-bar atmosphere, complete with artisan pairings, extended hours, and space to gather with friends. At Trella Vineyards, every glass reflects both heritage and innovation: a story of family roots, award-winning craftsmanship, and moments meant to be shared.
