EXPLORE WINERIES
Umpqua Valley Wineries
We are Oregon’s oldest fine wine region—our vineyards pioneered Pinot Noir in the Pacific Northwest, and Tempranillo and Baco Noir in Oregon. The Scott Henry system, a divided-canopy trellis design ideal for moisture-laden, highly productive, fertile vineyards, was invented here.
Here, winemaking continues to evolve. Our family-owned, artisan wineries blend tradition with innovation, applying sustainable and regenerative farming practices to craft exceptional wines.
UNIQUE Terroir
A Wine Region Unlike Anywhere Else
The Umpqua Valley is where three mountain ranges converge, creating “The Hundred Valleys of the Umpqua.” This rugged landscape produces an extraordinary range of microclimates—from cool maritime conditions in the north to warm Mediterranean climates in the south—alongside more than 150 distinct soil types.
The result is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the country, capable of producing an exceptionally wide range of wines, from elegant cool-climate whites to bold, full-bodied reds, all within a single appellation.
